"These surfaces are alive, I harness chemical reactions and elemental forces to paint on active light-sensitive emulsion surfaces. For me painting is discovering what it means to be human, to exist in a world that is ever changing. Surrendering to the inevitable, yet resisting the urge to release all control. My paintings are a meditation on resilience, on how we endure, adapt, and persist in the face of inevitable change. I use materials that sustain life as a medium to create art.
